Much like with Pride and Prejudice, it seems a little superfluous for me to write a plug for these books that turned so many children into readers. I read them as a young adult in my early 20s and only had to wait on the release of the last book, which is a favorite memory of mine: I was a first-time mother to a baby who didn’t sleep well, and when my husband got up early to buy me a copy of The Deathly Hallows on July 21, 2007, the exhaustion didn’t seem to matter anymore. I love these books for Rowling’s creativity, her writing, and her story-telling ability.
